Southern Lights Rally confirmed for 2024

Transport World is eagerly awaiting the Southern Lights Rally, confirmed as part of the New Zealand Rally Championship in 2024.

For the first time in two decades, a rally championship is returning to Southland as part of the New Zealand Rally Championship.

The world's southernmost rally championship event will take place in the depths of winter, providing with it the perfect opportunity to take in Transport World's attractions, including Bill Richardson Transport World.

The Southern Lights Rally will take place on June 22 across roads throughout the region.

“We welcome the Southern Lights Rally – the first time the championship has visited Southland since 2004 – and look forward to getting back on some terrific roads in the Deep South," coordinator Blair Bartels said.
