The TW Events & Incentives is still buzzing after a monumental couple of weeks to wrap up 2020 – least of which, was the incredible duo of ‘Night at the Museum’ events we hosted for our client NZAS.
Led by venue liaison Catherine Skerrett, the TW Events & Incentives team put together a smorgasbord of immersive, high-voltage experiences for employees of Tiwai Point aluminium smelter and their families. The pair of all-ages events, scattered throughout almost the entire Bill Richardson Transport World collection, were attended by almost 1,000 people on each evening.
NZAS project management and change specialist Nadine Hancock says the organisation wanted to recognise the enormous effort – and challenging year – that the people at NZAS have had in 2020.
“We wanted something unique, on a scale that would allow our people to celebrate with their families and build lasting memories. While we considered a number of organisations and ideas for our people, the concept that the TW team developed was one we knew immediately would fit perfectly for what we wanted,” she says.
The experience was “exceptional, professional, and a lot of fun” from start to finish, she says.
“The team anticipated and immediately understood what feeling we wanted to invoke in our people – a sense of wonder, excitement and joy. We felt involved throughout the entire process and excited to be able to provide something extraordinary for the NZAS team.”
Cuisine crafted by MASH Catering ranged from freshly-prepared sushi at the Evolution of Japanese Cars exhibit, lamb was spit-roasted amongst the farm machinery, hot popcorn was served from a vintage popcorn truck hailing from 1928, and guests enjoyed a Willy Wonka-inspired interactive dessert station situated next to the Cadbury room.
There was no shortage of entertainment to provide a party mood either: two DJs kept the crowd on their feet at the Silent Disco, children’s movies were played on the big-screen in the replica Majestic Theatre, vibrantly-attired dancers swirled and strutted their stuff throughout the venue, and local band In The Pocket made sure the dancefloor was pumping.
Hancock says she would “absolutely!” recommend hosting an event with TW Events & Incentives to others.
“This team goes above and beyond to ensure their client has the event they have asked for,” she says.
